cash music project - an introduction:

"ThrowingMusic is happy to announce an entirely new musical endeavor. We're calling it the Coalition of Artists & Stake Holders, or the "CASH Music Project". CASH Music represents a new music business model which we hope you'll not only support but also help us shape, by sharing with us your thoughts, suggestions & opinions.

CASH Music is a new kind of offering from Kristin. There will be lots of great new content, including a brand-new studio recording posted to Kristin's blog every month - free of charge. the first track in this series is called "Slippershell".

We're committed to not holding music hostage, the music will be free. At the CASH Music site you have the opportunity to subscribe to Kristin’s career – past, present and future. You are free to use the music as you please, to create different mixes or maybe be inspired to create art based on the music.

The business of music clearly needs an overhaul. We're going to present our ideas - and with your help, we'll endeavor to create a sustainable, fair-trade music business model.

This will be a strictly independent and self-sustaining venture -- for better or for worse. No record label, no distributor, no middle-man -- just Kristin, the songs and you.

We're taking the leap and can't wait to see what all of us together, as a small but enthusiastic community of 'stake-holders' can do for ourselves." FROM THE THROWING MUSES WEBSITE

WET DOG

New Album Welsh Launch!!!!!!!!
"ARTROCKER SINGLE OF THE WEEK SINGLE OF THE WEEK: WETDOG / ALIBI (ANGULAR) It’s Deranged, it’s squelchy, it’s post-punkin’ – and thanks to these ladies, it’s single of the week. This features a nice selection of doom-laden bass, off-kilter guitars loops and some half-jabbered lyrics. Judging from this murky ditty, you’d believe any word that came out of their mouths -possibly through fear and sheer intimidation. If only all bands rattled like this."

BETTY AND THE WEREWOLVES
"Indie showtunes made by three girls and one boy, who whoop and howl through the night, sound like Stereototal having a fight with Lush over who gets to kiss Buzzcocks first."

HECK

"The impressive skewed pop of Heck was on as part of Bethan Elfyn's Radio 1 Introducing and they're a serious propostion for Welsh indie. Although defiantly lo-fi, their sound was chunky and satisfying in Clwb Ifor Bach's upstairs room. Frontwoman Jemma Roper stalked the stage, and her much taller bandmates faded into the background."
